I was hoping for more variety with the single origins and blends, but the selection felt really limited. Not sure why whoever runs this doesn’t offer more options, because it would make the experience a lot better.

"Nice-looking site, but a bit frustrating"
The website looks good at first glance, but actually using it was kind of annoying. I had a harder time than expected finding basic coffee info, and checkout felt a little clunky. Pages were loading slowly for me too, so maybe they’ve got too many images or some behind-the-scenes stuff slowing it down, but I’m just guessing. The menus also weren’t super clear, which made the whole thing feel less smooth than it should’ve been.

"Way too pricey for what it is"
I really wanted to be into Intelligentsia, but the prices are kinda hard to get past. The coffee was fine, like definitely not bad, but I didn’t taste anything that made me think, “Yep, totally worth paying extra for this.”
For that same amount of money, I can grab more coffee somewhere else and enjoy it just as much. Maybe it’s more of a spot for serious coffee people, but for me, the value just isn’t really there
"Changing my subscription was way more hassle than it should’ve been"
I needed to pause my subscription for a bit, but the whole process was frustrating and not nearly as simple as it should be. I spent way too much time trying to figure it out, and it made the experience disappointing. Since this caused unnecessary hassle, I’d expect some kind of compensation or credit for the trouble

"Love the coffee, but the delivery drama is too much"
The coffee is really good, which makes this even more annoying. My last two orders showed up late, and I got barely any updates, so I was just sitting there like, cool, I guess I live in suspense now. It’s way harder to plan around than it should be, and at this point I’m not ordering as often because I can’t keep rearranging my life around a cup of coffee

"Good coffee, but the grind thing could be better"
The coffee itself tastes good, so no complaints there. I ordered it ground, though, and it ended up being a little too fine for the setup I usually use. It’s not a huge deal or anything, just one of those things that makes it not quite perfect. I do wish they had a few more clear grind options for different brewers and that sort of thing.

Went in for a coffee but it was just too loud and felt kinda cramped. Also a bit cold in there, so I couldn’t really relax much or enjoy my drink like I wanted

When I opened the bag, it actually smelled really good, so I had high hopes. But once I brewed it? Kind of disappointing. The coffee tasted a bit flat and slightly sour, which wasn’t what I expected at all. I even played around with different grind settings, thinking maybe that would help, but nope, same result. For the price, shouldn’t it have a little more depth and flavor?

I was really looking forward to trying these, but the bag arrived tasting old and stale. There was no bloom at all when I brewed it, which was disappointing. I expected better, and at the very least, I’d appreciate an apology for sending out beans that clearly weren’t fresh...

I had a disappointing experience here. The barista seemed really unsure about the menu and couldn’t answer basic questions, so ordering took way longer than it should have. I reached out to support afterward, but instead of helping, it felt like they were putting the blame on me for not being clearer. Overall, just a frustrating visit.

"Roasts have been kind of hit or miss lately"
I used to really enjoy ordering from Intelligentsia, but my last few bags have been inconsistent. One bag was bright and really nice, and then the next one tasted flat and a little over-roasted. For what it costs, I was expecting the beans to be more reliable from bag to bag. It is not bad coffee, but it has not been consistent enough for me to keep buying it regularly.

Support did get back to me and fixed my order issue in the end, so I’ll give them that. But man, these slowpokes took a couple days to reply. Glad it got sorted, just wish they weren’t dragging their feet so much.

"Got the wrong coffee again"
I ordered two bags of coffee and one of them was just... not the one I picked. Support did get back to me, so that was fine I guess, but it was still annoying having to deal with it. Also not the first time my order has been a little messed up, which makes it even more frustrating tbh.

I ordered from intelligentsia.com, and the coffee itself was totally fine, no complaints there. But the packaging was just kind of okay, the bag was sitting loose in the box and seemed like it had about 2 or 3 inches of room to slide around.
Nothing was actually ruined, but the box looked beat up by the time it got to me. For what I paid, I expected maybe a little more padding or a better fit so it didn’t bounce around the whole way.

"Shipping took forever"
I ordered the coffee thinking it would be here in a few days, but it ended up taking way longer than I expected. The tracking didn’t really update much either (which made it even more frustrating). By the time it finally showed up, I was already annoyed. The coffee itself is fine, but the slow shipping makes me hesitant to order again
